Sandra Southwell 1943 - 2018

Originally from Mudgee NSW, Sandra became a leading Australian equestrian rider before moving to Sheffield in her twenties.
After thirteen years, the horse transport business was sold and this saw Sandra’s love of all things aviation realised.

Her maiden flight was to circumnavigate Australia, in her own two seater plane. As a great role model, she promoted women
in all walks of life and became the Tasmanian President, and National Vice President of the Australian Women Pilots’ Association.
